Celebrate the New Year holidays with auspicious barrel-aged sake!

日本酒を美味しくして、おせち、魚介やお肉の旨みを膨らませる樽酒。しかし、今では特別なイベントの時にしか味わえなくなってしまいました。

Barrel-aged sake, which enhances the flavor of sake and brings out the umami of New Year's dishes, seafood, and meat, is now only available on special occasions.

そもそも江戸時代の頃はすべての日本酒が樽酒のみ。時代とともにびん詰めが主流となり、樽酒は鏡開きなど景気づけの時のみとなりました。

Originally, during the Edo period, all sake in Japan was sold only in barrels. Over time, bottled sake became the mainstream, and barrel sake was only consumed on celebratory occasions such as the breaking of the sake barrel.

樽酒の樽材に使用されているのは杉の木。
日本酒を樽で寝かせることで杉の木から移る香りと成分が、日本酒をさらに美味しくします。

The barrels used for aging sake are made of cedar wood.
Aging sake in barrels allows the aroma and components from the cedar wood to transfer to the sake, making it even more delicious.

It comes in a 6.4 go (approximately 120ml) bottle and is reasonably priced.

飲みきりサイズで、冷蔵庫にも入ります。

It's a single-serving size and fits in the refrigerator.

樽酒は、貯蔵期間が長すぎると香りが付きすぎてしまうことがあります。
そのため、年末が飲み頃になるよう予測して蔵元に日本酒を樽に入れてもらいます。飲み頃に店頭でびん詰めをするので、冷蔵庫保存でおいしい樽酒が味わえます。

If barrel-aged sake is stored for too long, the aroma can become too strong.
Therefore, we ask the brewery to put the sake into barrels in anticipation of it being ready to drink around the end of the year. Since it's bottled at the store when it's ready to drink, you can enjoy delicious barrel-aged sake simply by storing it in the refrigerator.
